Web Developer/Programmer Position – PHP/MySQL – Full-Time, On Site
About the Position
Lawline.com is seeking a full-time, on-site Web Developer to join our interactive web development team. This position will report to the Lead Web Developer and will work with our management, engineering, design, and production team members. Looking for candidates with the ability to code and generate a standards-compliant markup that tightly adheres to original design specifications. Will involve using Photoshop source files which need to be converted into valid X/HTML/CSS code as well. Must be willing to work in office Monday through Friday at our location in the Financial District. Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of programmers and designers to create dynamic, design-driven websites, admin tools, rich media and other interactive products.
- Develop standards-compliant code that holds up cross-browser.
- Understand and adhere to CSS driven development standards.
- Passionately stay abreast of the latest technologies and interactive development standards.
- Able to work both independently to meet aggressive deadlines, and collaboratively in a team-based production environment.
Requirements
- Rock solid PHP and MySQL. At least 3 years exp. required. Object Oriented
- Strong database architecture skills
- Solid X/HTML / CSS / sense of layout and usability
- Conversion of Photoshop designs into validated and standards-compliant code that holds up cross-platform, cross-browser, and cross-device
- At least an intermediate Javascript experience. jQuery is a huge Plus! (your work will involve working with it)
- Experience or Familiarity with SVN and QA process
- Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to perform under deadlines
